Description by OLDIES.com:
Steve Marcus is one of the great saxophone players whose popularity is only limited by the relatively small number of recordings he's made. He recorded and played with Herbie Mann and Woody Herman from the early '60s on and even led an early fusion group (Count Rock's Band). Marcus was a star soloist and an important lieutenant in Buddy Rich's Orchestra from 1975 until Rich's death in 1987. Produced by Herbie Mann, these two albums feature sessionmen including Larry Coryell, Herbie Hancock and Miroslav Vituous.
